German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex said on Tuesday it has received three orders from Turkish companies to install wind turbines with a total capacity of 64.2 megawatts (MW) in the Mediterranean country.

Diversified company Erdem Holding has ordered seven Nordex turbines for its first wind farm located on the country's Aegean coast, Nordex said in a statement. The deal includes a premium-service contract for at least five years. The rotor blades, towers and anchor cages for the turbines will be produced in Turkey to enable Erdem Holding to claim a higher feed-in tariff for the project.

Nordex will install 11 turbines at Edincik Enerji's wind farm on the Marmara sea coast, expanding its capacity to 56.4 MW from 30 MW. The contract includes a Nordex premium service agreement for six years.

The German company will also install seven wind turbines at Bursa Temiz Enerji's Bandirms II wind farm, located in the same part of the country, expanding its capacity to 41.8 MW from 25 MW.
