The energy ministry of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation said on Tuesday it has
called a new tender for a consultant to advise it regarding the planned award of
a concession for oil and gas exploration after it cancelled the previous
one.
The contract relates to the provision of consulting services in
conducting negotiations and preparing contract modality on behalf of the
Federation government as part of the concession award process, the entity's
energy ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
Bids should be
submitted by November 19. The value of the consultancy contract was not
disclosed.
The energy ministry said earlier this month that the tender
for a consultant to advise the entity regarding the planned award of a
concession for oil and gas exploration had failed because all of the received
bids were deemed unacceptable.
In November 2013, the Federation's
government asked the energy ministry to launch negotiations to award Shell
Exploration Company B.V. a concession for the exploration ofoil and gas
reserves.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that make
up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
