Bosnia’s gross electricity output fell
7.6% to 15,680 GWh in 2014 when the country grappled with the fallout from heavy
floods, data of the country's statistics office indicated on Friday.
The
gross output of the country’s hydro power plants dropped 18% to 5,830 GWh last
year, while its thermal power plants generated 9,850 GWh, flat on the year, the
Statistics Agency said in a statement.
Electricity imports totaled 3,160
GWh in 2014 while exports amounted to 5,988 GWh.
The record floods that
hit Bosnia in May last year are estimated to have cost it around 15% of gross
domestic product.
