Natural gas consumption in Romania edged upto 10.11million
megawatt-hours (MWh) in October 2014 from 10.09 millionMWh a yearearlier, but
was significantlyhigher on the month, figures from the country's energy
regulator, ANRE, showed on Monday.
In September, natural gas consumption
in Romania stood at 6 million MWh,according to a report published on ANRE's
website.
Natural gas consumption in Romania totalled 97.2 million
megawatt-hours (MWh) in the first 10months of 2014.
Domestic gas
production covered 98.3% of consumption in October, ANRE
said.
State-owned gas producer Romgaz provided 46.75% of Romania's gas
output in Octoberwhile local oil and gas group OMV Petrom produced 48.40% of
the total.
The average price of imported gas was $377(346 euro) per
1,000 cubic metres in October, up from $361a month earlier, ANRE said.
