Croatian energy utility HEP said on Thursday it
has signed acontract worth 12 million euro ($13.4 million)to supply the
Slovenian capital Ljubljana with electricity.
Under the contract, HEP
willsupply 270 GWh of electricity to Ljubljana over the next three years, the
companysaid in a statement.
HEP outbid the four other participants in
the power supply tender organised by Ljubljana city hall, it added.
The
Croatian company has a market share of 5% on the Slovenian electricity supply
market.
HEP group owns and operates over 4,000 MW of installed generation
capacity and 974 MW of heat production capacity, including 25 hydroelectric
plants and eight thermal power plants fired by oil, natural gas or coal.
