Russian state-controlled oil and gas company Zarubezhneft is planning to build two petrol stations, a motel and restaurants on the Banja Luka-Gradiska motorway in Bosnia’s Serb Republic, local media reported on Tuesday.

Zarubezhneft is one of several Russian companies interested in investing in the Serb Republic, news agency Srna reported, quoting the head of the entity’s representative office in Moscow Dusko Perovic following a visit of the president of the Serb Republic Milorad Dodik to Russia.

Perovic added that a group of companies from St. Petersburg will visit the capital of the Serb Republic, Banja Luka, in mid-July in order to make arrangements for economic cooperation with the entity’s firms, particularly those involved in food and textile production.

Zarubezhneft, through its subsidiary Neftegazinkor, owns majority stakes in several Bosnian companies including oil refinery Rafinerija Nafte Brod, its peer Rafinerija Ulja Modrica andfuel retailer Nestro Petrol.
