Iraq has resumed exports of Kirkuk crude oil via Turkish Ceyhan port late Wednesday night after a suspension of more than two weeks, a shipping agent at the terminal said Thursday.

Iraq has resumed exports of Kirkuk crude oil via Turkish Ceyhan port late Wednesday night after a suspension of more than two weeks, a shipping agent at the terminal said Thursday.

"They have resumed pumping Kirkuk crude at a rate of 20,000 barrels an hour (480,000 barrels a day) since 2200 local time Wednesday (2000 GMT)," the agent told Dow Jones Newswires by telephone from Ceyhan.

He said Kirkuk crude oil assets at Ceyhan reached 760,000 barrels Thursday morning. The pumping is continuing, he added.

A vessel belonging to Total SA (TOT) berthed at the terminal and it will start loading shortly, he said. Two vessels - one belongs to Eni SpA (E) and the other to ExxonMobil Corp (XOM) is waiting at anchorage, he added.
