Iran has accused the U.S. of sabotaging its cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog, the Financial Times reports Tuesday.

Rasoul Movahedian, Iran's ambassador to the U.K., insisted Western reaction to last week's report by the International Atomic Energy Agency had been unable to provide credible documentation about alleged Iranian weapons studies.

"We believe the alleged studies are an...American tactic," Movahedian told the FT. "Whenever the agency tries to conclude a report, the Americans try to provide information to disrupt cooperation and sabotage the process."
