He made the comment on local CNBC-e channel but didn't elaborate, the agency said.

In July, the Akcez Joint Venture Group, formed by Turkey's Akenerji and Czech power company CEZ AS (BAACEZ.PR), submitted the highest bid of $600 million in a tender for Sedas, the power grid covering the Sakarya region of northwest Turkey.

Akcez took over Sedas Feb. 11.

Also in July Austrian utility company Verbund AG (VER.VI) and its Turkish partner Sabanci Energy Group submitted the best bid of $1.23 billion for the purchase of Baskent EDAS, the regional electricity distributor in the Ankara region.

The companies, through their joint venture Enerjisa, took over EDAS Jan. 28.

Turkish supermarket and shopping mall operator Kiler Alisveris Hizmetleri submitted in September the highest bid of $128.5 million in a tender to sell 100% of electricity distribution grid company Aras Elektrik Dagitim AS that covers the Eastern part of the country.

In another tender held September Turkish construction firm Alsim-Alarko was the highest bidder with $440 million for Meram Elektrik Dagitim AS, the gird covering central Turkey.
