Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) has until Feb. 20 to submit a final offer for the Polish Treasury Ministry's 51% stake in Polish utility Enea SA (ENA.WA), daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports Tuesday, citing an unnamed source.

Last December,
Poland picked EDF for exclusive talks on the sale of a $1.7 billion majority stake in Enea. The deal is expected to be closed by the end of the first quarter of 2011. Local media in Poland have said EDF has agreed to most of the terms set by the Polish government.

The Polish government has been trying to sell Enea for over two years in an attempt offset borrowing needs with privatization receipts.
