Russian gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) will resume talks on the purchase of the remaining 50% in Beltransgaz in September, Gazprom said Wednesday.

Gazprom didn't specify why the talks will be halted until then.

Gazprom already owns 50% of Beltransgaz, the Belarussian pipeline operator, while the other half of the company is owned by the government of Belarus .
