The Interconnector Turkey Greece Italy natural gas pipeline project, or ITGI, will cost between EUR1.5 billion and EUR2 billion and have a capacity of 10 billion cubic meters a year, Greek Energy Minister George Papaconstantinou said Monday.

ITGI, which is sponsored by Italy's energy company Edison SpA (EDN.MI) and Greece's DEPA, is competing with the Trans Adriatic Pipeline and the Nabucco pipeline projects to carry natural gas from the second stage of Azerbaijan's giant Shah Deniz offshore field to Europe.
