Russia --Eni SpA (E) and Russian gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) Friday agreed on a discount on gas supplies for 2013, ENI Chief Executive Officer Paolo Scaroni told Dow Jones Newswires.

Head of Gazprom Alexei Miller and Mr. Scaroni told reporters that they had agreed to change the contract for 2013. They are still in talks on possible changes to the long-term contract.

Gazprom Deputy Chief Executive Officer Alexander Morozov also said that the discount on the 2013 supplies will be less than 7%.
