China imported 18.04 million metric tons of coal in June, down 19.6% compared with the same month last year, final data issued by the General Administration of Customs showed Monday.

China exported 473,371 tons of coal in June, bringing net coal imports to 17.56 million tons, the data showed.

Liquefied natural gas imports totaled 1.25 million tons in June, 3.2% higher than a year earlier, bringing total imports in the first six months of the year to 8.33 million tons, up 25.2%, the data showed.

China imported 1.64 million tons of natural gas in June, up 26.6% on year. Deliveries in the first half of the year reached 9.43 million tons, up 29.5%.
