A representative of Austria 's oil company OMV AG (OMV.VI) met Iran 's oil minister Bijan Zanganeh Thursday in Vienna , an Iranian official said.

The representative declined to comment to reporters after exiting the meeting and a company spokesperson also declined to comment.

OMV is among a string of Western oil companies approached by Iran after being forced to pullout by a European Union ban on investing in the country's oil sector.
