Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Monday that he hopes his country will give 15 billion cubic meters of gas annually to the Nabucco pipline project, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported.

Speaking at the official intergovernmental signing ceremony of the Nabucco pipeline project, Maliki didn't give a timeframe.

Maliki's comments followed an Iraqi government statement indicating that the country currently doesn't have any excessive gas sources to sell to Europe via the Nabucco pipeline.
