Iran has identified 46 oil exploration fields in the Caspian Sea, Iranian state-run PressTV reports on its Web site Thursday, citing Iranian Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari.
Nozari said eight of the fields are currently ready for exploitation. The comment came as Iran launched its domestically-built 14,000-metric-ton offshore platform in its territorial Caspian waters to increase its oil output.
