London-listed Kazakh oil and gas producer KazMunaiGas Exploration Production, or KMG EP, said Tuesday its first half-year oil production dropped 3.8% on the year to 5.67 million metric tons, or, 230,700 barrels per day.
The company said in a statement that 4.2 million tons, or 179,800 bpd, were produced at its core production facilities Ozenmunaigas and Embamunaigas.
KMG EP said the volume of production at Uzen and Emba was planned at 9.14 million tons, or 184,320 bpd, for this year.
It is planned to produce 3.18 million tons, or 67,000 bpd, at Kazgermunai this year and 1.8 million tons, or 33,000 bpd, at CCEL. KMG EP owns 50% in both companies.
