E.ON AG (EOAN.XE) has received six non-binding offers for its Italian natural gas transmission network, which is valued at EUR500 million to EUR600 million, reports Italian daily la Repubblica Thursday, without citing its sources.

Among the six bidders are Italian fund F2i SGR SpA, which has teamed up with Axa Private Equity; Snam Rete Gas SpA (SRG.MI) and GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR), the newspaper says.

"The sale is attracting the interest of the obvious suspects," writes Alberto Ponti at Citigroup in a note to clients Thursday. "These are non-binding offers so not indicative of the real interest," he adds.

E.ON declined to comment.
