Russia and Venezuela have discussed prospects for building nuclear research reactors and distillation reactors, the RIA Novosti news agency reports Wednesday, citing a statement from Russian civilian nuclear power holding company Atomenergoprom.
The heads of Atomenergoprom, part of Russia's state-controlled civilian nuclear power corporation Rosatom, and the Venezuelan Ministry of Energy and Petroleum held their first working meeting since signing an agreement in 2008 on cooperation in civilian nuclear power, the statement said.
