Iran and an unnamed Emirati company have signed a memorandum of
understanding to export natural Iranian gas to the United Arab
Emirates, Iranian state-run Press TV reports on its Web site Monday.
The National Iranian Gas Export Co. said the agreement
allows Iran to pump its gas from the Salman and South Pars fields in
the Persian Gulf into the UAE, the report says.
Iran and the UAE have been in dispute over the supply of gas recently, culminating in the UAE's Crescent Petroleum threatening to take the matter to international arbitration.
