Russian state-controlled gas firm OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) said Tuesday it will increase spending in eastern Russia by 49% next year to 100 billion rubles ($3.18 billion) next year from RUB67 billion this year.
Priority projects in the region are gas distribution, construction of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipeline and geological exploration at offshore fields, Gazprom said.
