Turkey's energy markets regulator, EPDK, said Thursday that it has raised household electricity prices by 9.68% and industry electricity prices by 9.85%, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported.
EPDK said the new prices will be effective from Oct. 1.
Turkish press reported earlier September that EPDK approved Turkish power provider TETAS' application to increase wholesale electricity prices and that the price of electricity for consumers is estimated to rise around 10%.
