Turkey plans to raise its power transmission capacity to Georgia by 1,000 megawatts from the current 100 MW, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Wednesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported.
Turkey plans to raise its power transmission capacity to Georgia by 1,000 megawatts from the current 100 MW, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Wednesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported.

The project requires a total investment of EUR255 million, Yildiz said following a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Alexander Khetaguri.

Turkey will provide EUR15 million and Georgia will provide EUR240 million for the project, he noted.

The project will begin July and be completed by mid-2012, Yildiz said.
