Bulgaria's environment ministry will extend by another two months the deadline by which the investor of the Bourgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline, Trans Balkan Pipeline, should complete its report on the environmental impact assessment of the project, minister Nona Karadzhova said on Wednesday.

The investor was obliged to submit the report by the end of February, while the environment ministry was expected to give its positive or negative opinion about the project by end-March.

"We expect the investor to finally complete the report with an alternative option about unloading the oil at seaports," Karadzhova said.

Trans Balkan Pipeline is 51%-owned by three Russian companies, Rosneft, Transneft and Gazprom Neft, while the remainder is split between Greece and Bulgaria.
