Turkeys Renewables Turn Foreign Investor Eyes to the Country

Turkey’s initiative to go ‘green’ in energy production turn foreign investor eyes to the country in a bid to partake in one of the fastest growing energy markets in the region. Two separate teams of US energy companies, one specifically focusing on renewables, is expected to visit the country in June and October, according to U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Counselor, Michael Lally.

Two separate teams of US energy companies, one specifically focusing on renewables, is expected to visit the country in June and October, according to U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Counselor, Michael Lally.
The delegation to visit Turkey in June will consist of companies in oil and natural gas businesses, while the latter delegation comprise companies in renewable energy sector, Lally told the press. “More than 15 U.S. companies in renewable energy sector will meet with their Turkish counterparts in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara..”, Lally said, adding that business talks will focus on possible partnerships between U.S. and Turkish companies.
