"Shortly before sunset, the fuel tank base in the area of Qasr Hamad was
targeted by several missiles," said the statement, posted in a video on
the Youtube channel benghazi17feb.
"Only one missile landed where the tanks were siuated causing damage to
the power plant," it said.
Press reports late Monday had said a refinery was hit in Misrata, which is
under attack from forces loyal to Col. Moammar Gadhafi.
The International Energy Agency, an authority on oil infrastructure, doesn't
list any refinery in Misrata. The benghazi17feb Youtube channel is considered a
credible source of information in rebel circles.
The statement said there had been no casualties from this particular attack. The
video showed images of heavy smoke coming out of the tank on its Youtube page.
