After the 1.5
megawatt big solar park in Arta, Conergy continues its course in the Greek
solar market. The
Hamburg
based solar expert builds its second megawatt project in
Greece
within just two weeks. The new 2 megawatt power plant is located in
Grevena (Pylori), 200 kilometers west of
Thessaloniki
.
On an area of 6 hectare 8,856 Conergy PowerPlus 225P modules produce
2,900 megawatt hours of clean electricity per year – enough for 645 households
– thus avoiding around 2,180 tons of CO2 emissions annually. After completion
of the constructions in two months, two Conergy CIS central inverter stations
feed the solar energy into the grid.
Besides the procurement of the high quality components, Conergy is also
responsible for the planning, commissioning and maintenance of the new solar
park.
““We are very pleased to cooperate with Conergy, a company distinguished
for its high quality products and proven experience in the solar industry. We
consider this cooperation both as a further step towards a green development of
our country and a guarantee for maximum return of our investment as well”,
says the investor Aristidis Xanthakis.
With
its second megawatt project within just two weeks Conergy continues to
strengthen its presence on the Hellenic peninsula.
“Because
of the turbulent economic times many investors are looking for a safe
investment opportunity. We benefit from this high demand and a broad interest
in solar energy due to our premium components which stand for excellent quality
and longevity. Thus, our costumers benefit from a safe and environmentally
friendly investment over a lifetime of more than 20 years.”
