OAO Gazprom Neft (SIBN.RS), Russia's No. 5 oil producer, Wednesday said net profit for the second quarter totaled $1.17 billion, a 56% increase from a year earlier, driven by increased sales volumes and higher crude and petroleum prices.

MAIN FACTS:

-Second-quarter revenue rose 43% on year to $11.48 billion.

-Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization totaled $2.48 billion for the quarter, up 60% on year.

-Cash flow from operating activities rose 28% to $1.89 billion.

-Shares trading 1.4% lower at 135.88 rubles ($4.80) in Moscow at 0728 GMT.
