Cypriot EAC Spokesman Costas Gavrielides said that the generators that arrived on Sunday with a total a capacity of 60MW and will be installed at the Dhekelia power plant, while other generators of a capacity of 35MW were already on their way and would be installed at the Moni power plant.
'Our aim is to connect them to the transfer system, to begin production, by the end of this month,' he said.
He added that Energy International was awarded the tender to provide generators of a total capacity of 95MW, and that the first ones came from Oman and the others were shipped from the US and are on route in the Mediterranean, Power-eng.com reports.
