The Management of QNRF nominates Dr. Theodore Theodoropoulos, Greek national, as a Member of the HIC. Dr. Theodore is the Author ‘’The Secret World of Energy’’ and PF Executive in Qatar Petroleum (The State Oil & Gas Company). Qatar Foundation has recognized his contribution to energy education and knowledge for Qatar and GCC. Notice that Dr. Theodore’s book was the first ISBN code in Qatar.
Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) funds and supports original, competitively selected research in natural sciences, engineering and technology, medical and health sciences and social sciences and humanities. Established in 2006, QNRF actively seeks to foster collaboration between Qatar and internationally recognized researchers. It provides opportunities to researchers at all levels, from students to professionals; in the public, private and academic sectors.
QNRF is chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser with Dr Fathy Saoud, President of Qatar Foundation, serving as the Vice Chairperson. QNRF members include select representatives and advisors from the various research bodies in Qatar. QF’s Research Division, which acts as the Secretariat of the QNRF, reviews new research programs and activities and develops the necessary processes and procedures.The total funds are closed to QAR33 billions. (or $8.3 bil.) for selective research in natural sciences, engineering, energy, technology and innovation medical health, and social sciences.
