Austrian regional power supplier EVN AG (EVNV.VI) is about to place a binding bid for state-owned Albanian power distribution company OSSH, financial daily Wirtschaftsblatt reports Tuesday.

OSSH, a spun-off division of Albania's national power company Kesh, is being privatized by the Albanian government mainly to help increase stability of supply.

In addition to EVN, Czech CEZ AS (BAACEZ.PR), Italian company Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) and Austrian firm Energie Steiermark AG have made it to the shortlist and will place final bids in the coming days, Wirtschaftsblatt writes, citing the managing director of Kesh, Gjergji Bojaxhi.

Bojaxhi said the key questions for Kesh isn't the price tag on OSSH, but rather that a new international partner should be able to cut the power-loss of the Albanian grid to 15%, from currently 32%, within the next ten years.
