German utility E.ON AG (EOAN.XE) may reach around EUR100 billion in sales in 2009, Chief Executive Wulf Bernotat told shareholders at the company's annual general meeting in Essen Wednesday.
German utility E.ON AG (EOAN.XE) may reach around EUR100 billion in sales in 2009, Chief Executive Wulf Bernotat told shareholders at the company's annual general meeting in Essen Wednesday.

"From today's view it is probable that sales will reach around EUR100 billion," in 2009, said Bernotat.

In 2008, E.ON increased sales by around 26% to EUR86.75 billion.

Bernotat added that E.ON's management doesn't expect impairment charges on its operations in Russia will become necessary.

He also said the company still hasn't made a formal decision about a possible sale of its unit Thuega.

"We currently examining the market interest in Thuega," he said.
