Russian state oil giant OAO Rosneft said Tuesday it will hold an extraordinary shareholder meeting on Sept. 13 to elect a new board of directors.
The meeting comes after the company held its general shareholder meeting earlier this month and was demanded by Rosneft's main shareholder, state energy holding company Rosneftegaz, which holds a 75% stake.
A Rosneft spokesman declined to say why the meeting had been called.
