Global oil stocks are at healthy levels and there is adequate supply in the market, Qatar 's energy minister said on Monday.

"The reserves worldwide are at a very comfortable level and there is no shortage recorded," Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Sada told reporters on the sidelines of the COP18 climate change conference in
Doha .

He said it was too early to say whether OPEC would change its output quota at this month's meeting in
Vienna as oil prices remain underpinned by tensions in the Middle East .

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in January traded at $88.96 a barrel at 0645 GMT, up $0.05 in the Globex electronic session. January Brent crude on
London 's ICE Futures exchange rose $0.34 to $111.57 a barrel.
